Privacy Policy

At The Garden Haven, I collect and hold some sensitive data about my clients.

To fully comply with the ‘UK GDPR & Data Protection Regulation 2018’, I want to assure my clients of a few things :

  • ​The information collected is information that is necessary for contact and in the case of emergencies – your name, address, e-mail and phone number.

  • I request this information as you are part of ongoing therapy. During our work together, I make minimum notes of what we have talked about during our session to inform our work together. This may contain other ‘personal data’ that you may decide to share such as age, gender, friends & family, children, occupation, health etc.

  • This is kept separate from from any identifiable information to ensure your anonymity. 

  • ​This data is stored safely in compliance with the UK GDPR & Data Protection Act 2018.

  • Your data is kept confidential and secure either in a locked cabinet and or a password protected PC / Phone in accordance with GDPR.

  • At any point, you can have full access to this data.

  • Your data will be kept for the duration of our work together. When our work together has finished, all data except for the session notes (which will be stored up for up to 7 years) will be deleted or securely disposed of.

  • At any point, you can request for your data to be removed from my database.

  • The Garden Haven will NEVER share any data with any external agencies (with one EXCEPTION - I am legally required to notify the authorities if I believe my client or others are in danger of harm). I will discuss this in our first session.
